Victoria Boyson: The Battle For Your Promised Land

Oct 28, 2011

I woke up from a dream and felt the presence of the Lord all over me. In the dream, God told me to tell His children to: "Believe for more from God."

The Lord said that we, as His Church, do not believe for enough. We expect less because we're afraid to fully trust in His power. God wants us to pursue the miraculous – to believe for greater works from Him. He wants to show the world what He is capable of and needs us to believe for more – not just for ourselves, but to display His power to the lost. He wants to reveal His power to the world!

The world is becoming increasingly more cynical about the things of God, having greater faith in "science" than in Him. He wants us to change that.

Too hard, you say? That's why He wants us to expect more from Him.

The Purpose of the Battle

Many see the increased wickedness of the world we live in and say, "Yep, this is just the way it's gonna be. We can't stop it. The world gets darker every day." But this isn't the first time that darkness has increased. If you look at history you see in many societies darkness has increased and tried to destroy the works of God. But instead of allowing the enemy to have his way, they stood their ground and fought for the genuine power of God. We must fight for God's power in our own personal lives, the Church and also the world.

We've often misunderstood the purpose of our battles. Battles are not meant to just cause us tribulation, but bring victory. We cannot have victory without a battle. When God sent the children of Israel to take their promised land, they had to fight for it. Yes, it was theirs, but they had to step out and take it – they had to battle their enemies for it. It was theirs by faith, and the battle was their pathway to possessing the promise God gave them.

The children of Israel had already spent four hundred years in slavery and forty years in the desert – they had suffered a lot. So, you may think the promised land for them meant a vacation from their suffering. Yet, it was then God put them to work. They didn't just walk into the promised land and set up house. No. They had to fight for it. They incurred one battle after another, but they knew every battle they faced meant more victory – more blessing.

When the children of Israel entered the promised land of Canaan God gave them victory over every foe they encountered. The reputation of Israel's God so terrified the inhabitants of Canaan that five kings from the southern region decided to band together to fight them, but were sorely defeated. And in Joshua 11, believing their only hope of defeating Israel was in a massive united force, thirty-one kings from the northern regions of Canaan came against Israel with all their might. Their great armies banded together to fight them, and were a formidable force. Still, though thirty-one armies strong, they stood no chance against the God of Israel. Through a clear and decisive victory on the battlefield, Joshua slaughtered all the other kings and their people, utterly destroying them all.

We can look around us at the wickedness of our generation and think hopeless thoughts of defeat. But is that what God desires of us? Are we supposed to just lay back and let the world fall to pieces? I don't think so. I think, especially in this day, God wants to show the world His power. Like Egypt in the days of Moses, they will see it and recognize He is the one true God.

God desires to pour out His Spirit in a mighty way – to demonstrate to masses of people just how powerful He truly is. Without a demonstration of His power, those who have been led astray by the anti-Christ spirit prevalent in today's society may not have a chance to choose Him. This is simply because they have not been given the opportunity to know Him as He truly is.

Do they know He is a God who loves, heals and delivers? God wants them to know His power and who He is. We must step out in faith and fight the battle to reveal His power to the world.

"My great glory will be displayed through [the battle you face]. When My glory is displayed through them, all [the world] will see My glory and know that I am the Lord!" Exodus 14:17-18 (NLT)

Revival is Coming

As the Church, we should be preparing all our people for another great awakening. This preparation is key to the success of God's last outpouring, because we need warriors to fight for the souls of men – those who will expect victory in every battle.

Revival is coming. God is not done yet. He is sending His Spirit once again to penetrate the darkness and rescue those who will believe in Him. We have to prepare for it. We have to expect it. We must align our hearts with His in order to prepare for victory.

If we do not expect God to act, we will not prepare, and if we do not prepare, we will suffer great loss. Ask the Lord, "What do you want us to do to prepare?" Then, follow Him closely and trust Him completely – lean on His wisdom, not on your own (see Proverbs 3:5) and you will have a great victory. Obey His leading and do not deviate from His council (see Joshua 1:7).

We need to shake off passivity and BELIEVE He needs us – each one of us. We are not destined to just sit in a pew – no one is. We are called of God to prepare His people to display His power and love – to know Him and teach those who want Him. The Lord is coming again, and He will come for ALL who want to know Him – He doesn't want anyone left out. We must prepare ourselves for this – we must prepare to reap a mighty harvest before His return.

Preparing for Victory

So, pastors and church leaders, intercessors and teachers, prophets and evangelists, mothers and fathers, tell those under your care to prepare themselves. Now is the time to get ready – we do not have much time left. We must focus, train and build, for His Kingdom is coming to this generation and we must stay vigilant – not doubt – expect. For, God wants to reveal His power as He did in the days of the exodus from Egypt (see Exodus 3:19-22). Follow Him and you will defeat your enemies.

Remember the fields God talked about in Luke 10:2? "The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So, pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into His fields." The fields are white and we need laborers. God needs YOU! So, get ready... revival is coming. Victory is coming. The battle for the lost is at hand and you are needed. The kings will attack, bringing us another great victory for God's Kingdom.

Have no fear, believe for more! God wants to pour out His power!

"Go through the camp and tell the people to get their provisions ready..." (Joshua 1:11). It's time to battle for your Promised Land.

Victoria Boyson met Jesus at the age of seven. At 13, she started ministering using music as a platform to tell others about Jesus and sang as often as anyone wanted to hear. After high school, she received a music scholarship to attend Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota where she met her husband, Steve Boyson. Shortly after their marriage in 1988, they started ministering together at various churches and functions, again using the platform of music. In 1992, they became youth pastors, and through the following years ministered in various churches. In 1999, the Lord told them to move to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to work for Francis Frangipane, who was extremely influential in their development as Christians and as ministers. Francis recognized Victoria's gift in writing and encouraged her pursuing its development. Steve and Victoria Boyson have four children: Cassandra, Cody, Cole and CailieEllen.

My Life Changing Trip to the Philippines-Pastor Steve

Back home now a finally recovered from the trip and jet lag. Trying to get life back in order in the US.
I have to say that after my 17 day stay in the Philippines my life is changed forever. Can't quit put my finger on it but something for the good has happened in my heart. I didn't want to leave a foreign land for the first time in my missions experience. I usually cant wait to get back to American soil but this time I didn't want to leave so much I was grieved to do so.
The Condeza family was the most wonderful family of Christians I have ever met. I have been accepted as on of the family since first week of meeting online. This was confirmed by their continual sharing of their real love and acceptance for me. I call them Mama and Papa and the adult children are my brothers and sister.
Life wasn't real easy there for me as the heat and humidity was very oppressive. I couldn't go out side for many 2 hours at the most and then back to the air con in the hotel. I met different Americans there and they said it takes about 3-4 month to get used to the heat.
While there I preached in Pastor Condeza's house church, a mountain church 3 hard long driving hours away, then in a jungle like location and the open air to another house church. The ministry helped in giving offering to the family and paying most the expenses as well as fed 75 children and Pastor Condeza's school where he teaches full time.
I had a lunch with a small group of 6 college students. I preached in the restaurant for and hour on the Holy Spirit and the power of God came and overpowered them all. I prophesied over them and they were all shaking and weeping as the restaurant owner and waitress watched for only a few feet away. Later that night the only young lady that wasn't saved among the group was led to Jesus on the phone with the help of her friend. Oh ya and the ministry also bought Mama as washing machine so she would no longer have to do laundry buy hand.
As of the writing of this blog post I am seeking God as to if I should return and live there as a missionary full time and establish the first of many missions bases there.

The Beauty of God Series-IHOP-KC-Mike Bickle

I must say that IHOP-KC and Mike Bickle have what I believe to be the greatest revelation on the beauty of God and His pleasures of any ministry in the world. I find none that can compare. This is where I am receiveing teaching for my personal life on these subjects.
I though it best and wise to present all these teachings to you for your benifit, for how you look at and relate to God to change for the better and hopefully bring you into a deeper intimacy, with the Man Christ Jesus.
I would advise taking notes and listening to these messages over and over until they are one with your heart. Most Christians can't draw as near to God in deep fellowship and intimact as He desires or overcome besetting sins because of their lack of knowledge on this subject.

It's Time to Come Out and Cross Over in 2011 Pt2 "How to Possess the Promised Land"-Pastor Steve

Below is a confirming word for the above prophetic teachings, "It's Time to Come Out and Cross Over" Pt1 & Pt2
Expect an Open Heaven in 2011!

Prophetic teaching by Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda 1/5/2011
Welcome to 2011! Crossing over into a New Year is always exciting. No matter what the past season, the New Year is like turning a page and getting a fresh start on the next chapter in your life’s journey. As we began this New Year together, we saw God taking His people from the place we had occupied in 2010 and setting us in motion for where He is bringing us in 2011. This is a year of destiny and a year of the Lord’s provision and abundance.

Psalm 65:11 says, “You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.” That’s God’s promise for us this year and every year. Another promise is, “My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19). This is the year of God’s supernatural blessing on you and your children like never before. Your needs for 2011 are already taken care of. Have no fear or anxiety. This is the living word of God. It is alive, active and full of power, and He is breathing on this word for you and your family this year. Start exercising faith for your family, and together, let us step into this promise for our Church and nation.

God gives us His compass points to direct us from season to season. The first and foremost is His word. It is immovable and eternal. It carries blessing and power for you and your generations. Another important compass point God gives us is natural Israel. Israel is a reflection in the spiritual realm of the Church.

Time and time again, when we see God breathe on His people Israel, there is a parallel move in the Church. The pogroms and persecution of the Jewish people in the late 1800’s awakened a dream of a Jewish state. Zionism was birthed, and Jews began to return to their ancient homeland. Shortly thereafter, God poured out His Spirit at Azusa, and a fresh Pentecost swept across the globe.

Out of the ashes of the Holocaust, God resurrected the modern state of Israel in 1948. At the same time the Latter-rain outpourings of healing were experienced in the Church.

In 1967 the Six-Day war restored Jerusalem to Israel just as the first bands of rain of the Charismatic renewal began to sweep across America and the nations. Many of us are products of that season of revival and restoration of the gifts to the Body of Christ.

This past year a whale was sighted by off the coast of Tel Aviv. This is the only recorded sighting in modern times. The only other one we know of is the account of Jonah thousands of years ago. For us, it was a sign that God is bringing His people -- natural Israel and His Church -- into a season of deliverance:

1. There is great deliverance for you and your children.

2. Whatever struggles you are going through – the devil has to vomit you out.

3. When you are delivered, you will come out smelling like a rose* and on the shore of your destiny.

In the closing days of 2010 there was another discovery that made us stop and take note. A new natural gas reserve was found just off the coast of Israel. It is the largest reserve of natural resources in Israel’s history and the largest find in the world in over a decade. Estimated to be worth $95 billion, the discovery has the potential to not only fulfill Israel’s energy needs for the next 100 years, but could put Israel in the position of exporting energy to other nations for the first time in her history.

What happens in Israel is a prophetic picture of what God is doing in the Church. So get ready!

In the realm of the Spirit, gas equates to power. You will have the supply and power not just for your needs, but for the needs of the whole world – that the Gospel will be proclaimed as a testimony to the nations. 2011 is going to be a year of the Open Heaven. It will be a year of unusual abundance and fruitfulness for us and our children.

Tapping into the Reserve

“And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel…’” (Numbers 13:1).

Moses sent out the spies as the Lord instructed, and they came back with a report and a sign. The land was flowing with milk and honey. They brought back a sample of fruit – a cluster of grapes so large that it required two men to carry it. But they also brought news that caused Israel to tremble: There were giants in the land.

The grapes were representative of all the promises and blessings God had in store for His people in the land He was giving them. They were a sign of the inheritance that He had for them and their children. But the people focused on the giants and that generation missed out on the blessings God intended for them.

The grape cluster is a symbol for us this year. As God is highlighting the provision He has for natural Israel; He is highlighting for us that there are blessings for us, too. It is just a matter of tapping into the supply and crossing over to possess them.

This year will not be without battles. There may be giants squatting on your promises right now, but this is the year to cross over and take possession. You are going to need the presence and power of God, but He wants to give you victory and bring you and your children into inheritance of His promised-land provision.

Taking Down Giants

We are going to begin this year with a 21-Day Fast for Open Heaven in 2011 from January 10-30. We invite you to join us in this corporate time of fasting and prayer to release God’s blessing and victory for your family, your church and your nation in this New Year. Whether you can join us for one day, fast for several days, or participate in a partial fast we welcome your participation.
