I have to say that after my 17 day stay in the Philippines my life is changed forever. Can't quit put my finger on it but something for the good has happened in my heart. I didn't want to leave a foreign land for the first time in my missions experience. I usually cant wait to get back to American soil but this time I didn't want to leave so much I was grieved to do so.
The Condeza family was the most wonderful family of Christians I have ever met. I have been accepted as on of the family since first week of meeting online. This was confirmed by their continual sharing of their real love and acceptance for me. I call them Mama and Papa and the adult children are my brothers and sister.
Life wasn't real easy there for me as the heat and humidity was very oppressive. I couldn't go out side for many 2 hours at the most and then back to the air con in the hotel. I met different Americans there and they said it takes about 3-4 month to get used to the heat.
While there I preached in Pastor Condeza's house church, a mountain church 3 hard long driving hours away, then in a jungle like location and the open air to another house church. The ministry helped in giving offering to the family and paying most the expenses as well as fed 75 children and Pastor Condeza's school where he teaches full time.
I had a lunch with a small group of 6 college students. I preached in the restaurant for and hour on the Holy Spirit and the power of God came and overpowered them all. I prophesied over them and they were all shaking and weeping as the restaurant owner and waitress watched for only a few feet away. Later that night the only young lady that wasn't saved among the group was led to Jesus on the phone with the help of her friend. Oh ya and the ministry also bought Mama as washing machine so she would no longer have to do laundry buy hand.
As of the writing of this blog post I am seeking God as to if I should return and live there as a missionary full time and establish the first of many missions bases there.
